Trend Video: Cosmopolitan Tribalism
We produced a five-minute-long trend research video for BOX 1824, a cutting-edge Brazilian trend research company in São Paulo. Collaborating on the writing and research aspects as well as audiovisual production, we edited together a variety of media assets to portray the emerging global youth cultural movement of Cosmopolitan Tribalism. Drawing inspiration from today's pop music, fashion, art, music videos and commercials, the fast-paced video takes a look at how these cultural drivers are affecting brands and marketing.
Sense Sensitive Design – Tent London

Sense Sensitive Design – Temporäre Kunsthalle Berlin

Working together with Norwegian scent artist SISSEL TOLAAS and Berlin design agency NOVAMONDO DESIGN, KS12 is producing audiovisual content for the SENSE SENSITIVE DESIGN platform. The project is in collaboration with the Charité Hospital in Berlin and was presented in September 2008 as part of CREATE BERLIN in the TENT LONDON design festival, and as part of the "20 Jahre Mauerfall – Freiräume" exhibition in the TEMPORÄRE KUNSTHALLE Berlin in January 2009.
In the context of a children's hospital ward, we pose the following open questions to spur our investigation:
What are the audiovisual events taking place in interstitial spaces?
Can a distributed system of observation reveal patterns in a complex system?
Are the limits of visual perception different when one is ill?
What changes in perspective can be gained by empowering children with video technology?
Can video be used to archive personal narrative in a therapeutic context?
How can the content of hospital television be improved?

Complicated
Cornelia & Holger Lund at FLUCTUATING IMAGES asked Gabriel to contribute a music video for the Vidos DVD release, which accompanies the Dos solo album from MICHAEL FAKESCH (formerly of Funkstörung) released in the summer of 2007 on !K7 RECORDS.
Using original video material we shot off the screens of our vintage microfiche readers combined with select pictures from our archives, we created a unique visualization of the song Complicated which clashed the electronic sound with analog motion graphics.
